Big Ideas Start Small

Empowering kids to dream, create, and build through fun, hands-on entrepreneurship programs.

Where we empower kids to learn to think like entrepreneurs.

Welcome to Junior Venture Camp - a safe, vibrant space where children learn to think like entrepreneurs. Through gamified, age-appropriate activities, they’ll explore ideation and business concepts in ways that make sense to them.

Our dynamic summer camp and afterschool program inspires children to explore the world of entrepreneurship by developing real business ideas and showcasing them at our interactive Entrepreneurship Fair. Along the way, they gain essential skills in financial literacy, leadership, and innovation—all while building creativity, resilience, and problem-solving abilities through hands-on, engaging experiences.

Founder’s Story

From Personal Challenge to Purposeful Change

Junior Venture Camp was born from a deeply personal challenge—one that many working parents face. When I began my full-time role at an entrepreneurship hub, I found myself navigating the demands of work while searching for meaningful child-care options. My time at Sheridan EDGE introduced me to ‘entrepreneurial mindset’: identify a problem, solve it, and build something meaningful. And I thought: What if we taught this mindset to children?

As a former homeschooler and educator at heart, I had already seen the power of entrepreneurship in action. Back in the Philippines, my children and I ran simple projects together—selling ice candies in the summer, making sundried tomatoes from surplus produce—activities that quietly instilled resourcefulness, initiative, and grit. Looking back, I realized I had been nurturing their entrepreneurial spirit all along.

When I spoke to other parents, my experience wasn’t unique. Many echoed the same concern: a lack of educational depth in existing programs, and noticeable gaps in the Canadian education system. That’s when the idea truly took root.

Junior Venture Camp is my response—a space where children can dream big, start small, and learn the skills that matter most: creativity, critical thinking, financial literacy, and leadership. Through hands-on experiences and real-world challenges, we foster the kind of learning that sticks.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a movement, a mission, and a mother’s hope to raise a generation of changemakers.

Let me help your children discover their potential—just as I helped mine.
